A specialized aviation services organization supporting complex, mission-critical aircraft is seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to join its growing team in Tullahoma, TN. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with hands-on avionics installation and troubleshooting experience—especially those familiar with UH-60 Black Hawk and Garmin avionics systems.

 

Hours & Pay

Pay Rate: $28–$36 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Employment Type: Direct Hire

 

Daily Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Perform avionics system installations, maintenance, upgrades, and modifications
  • Work on aircraft flight data, navigation, and communication systems
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose avionics malfunctions using industry test equipment
  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Complete minor sheet metal fabrication for replacement or newly fabricated parts
  • Document all work accurately through aircraft logbook entries in compliance with FAA regulations
  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineering, and management to support aircraft modification projects
  • Ensure all work meets current federal regulations, industry standards, and manufacturer procedures

 

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Prior avionics experience is required (non-entry level role)
  • Experience with UH-60 Black Hawk and Garmin avionics systems
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and aviation maintenance standards
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation
  • Sheet metal fabrication experience preferred
  • Military avionics experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and work in an active aircraft maintenance environment
