Location: Beckley, WV
Schedule: 4 x 10-Hour Shifts | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $70,000+ Annually (Based on Experience)

About the Operating Room Team

The main Operating Room features seven fully equipped procedure rooms, each staffed with one circulator and two surgical technologists to provide exceptional patient care and surgical support. The OR team supports a variety of specialties, including: Orthopedics, Orthopedic Trauma, Sports Medicine, General Surgery, Gynecology, Vascular Surgery, Podiatry, Spine Procedures, DaVinci Robotic Surgery, Trauma, and Urology

This unit cares for both inpatient and outpatient surgical patients, creating a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Duties

• Perform accurate and comprehensive patient assessments and identify patient care needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings.
• Provide age-appropriate and condition-specific nursing care.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity within the patient medical record.
• Develop, implement, and revise interdisciplinary care plans for each patient.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and healthcare teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and nursing standards.
• Support patient care throughout the perioperative process.

Required Qualifications

• Current State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within six months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of nursing experience preferred.
• Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS) certification preferred.
• Previous Operating Room or acute care experience preferred.
