A nationally respected provider supporting communication service providers is seeking a detail-driven Buyer to join its logistics and procurement team. This role plays a critical part in keeping network materials moving efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment where precision and urgency matter.

Hours & Pay

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $19.50 – $20.50 per hour

Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

What You’ll Do Each Day

• Create and manage purchase orders for direct-to-customer shipments (drop-ship orders)
• Enter and maintain purchase orders for manufacturing and warehouse locations
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding purchase order status
• Resolve order discrepancies related to quantities, pricing, order multiples, or product identification
• Maintain direct-ship purchase orders, including cancellations, adjustments, and reissues to suppliers
• Address and manage CRM activities, including creating and assigning follow-up actions as needed
• Utilize business systems such as Microsoft Office, Access, ERP, CRM tools, and reporting systems
• Support procurement operations by completing additional duties as assigned by leadership
• Promote and comply with all workplace safety policies and participate in job site safety activities

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Approximately 4 years of experience in logistics, marketing, sales, or related supply chain functions
• Strong customer service mindset with a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
• Effective communication and negotiation skills when working with suppliers
• Close attention to detail with consistent accuracy in data entry and documentation
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and multitasking abilities
• Proficiency in Excel, Access, and other business systems or applications
• Ability to read, write, and present information clearly in one-on-one or small group settings
• Comfort performing basic math related to purchasing, quantities, and pricing
• Ability to sit for extended periods and perform standard office-related physical tasks
