Location: Lafayette, LA

Are you detail-oriented and experienced in healthcare administration? Join our team as a Medical Insurance Verifier! In this role, you will help ensure accurate insurance verification, minimize claim denials, and support a positive patient experience through clear communication and efficient documentation.Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Additional healthcare, medical billing, or insurance-related education is a plus
- Previous experience in medical insurance verification, medical billing, patient access, or a related healthcare role preferred
- Experience with commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid verification preferred
- Familiarity with EMR systems and insurance portals
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before appointments
- Confirm coverage details, deductibles, copays, and out-of-pocket costs
- Determine prior authorization and referral requirements
- Document verification information accurately in EMR systems
- Communicate coverage and patient responsibility information
- Resolve insurance issues with patients and internal departments
- Follow up on pending authorizations and verification requests
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
- Sit for extended periods while working at a computer
- Perform frequent data entry and phone communication
- Maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
