Cage Clerk Skills & Requirements:

  • Previous warehouse, inventory control, material handling, or cage/parts room experience preferred.
  • Ability to verify shipments using purchase orders and packing documentation.
  • Ability to safely operate a lift or material handling equipment (as required).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and recordkeeping.
  • Basic computer or inventory system experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the shift.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain a clean work environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or production support environment.
  • Dependable attendance and ability to support production needs as required.

Cage Clerk Responsibilities & Job Duties:

  • Receive incoming parts and verify quantities and descriptions against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Stock and organize received materials in designated parts cage storage locations.
  • Pull and stage parts for production and spindle build jobs with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Operate a lift or material handling equipment as needed to move or retrieve parts.
  • Perform cycle counts and support ongoing inventory accuracy and control.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and efficient parts cage storage areas.
  • Support production teams by ensuring required materials are available when needed.
  • Assist with general warehouse and production support tasks as assigned.
  • Follow inventory procedures to ensure accurate tracking of all materials.
