Location: Metairie, LA
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Day Shift: 6:30 AM Start Time

Keep the Grounds Clean. Build the Outdoor Spaces. We’re hiring a Landscaping Technician in Metairie to work outdoors, maintaining commercial properties through mowing, trimming, edging, and full grounds maintenance.

Landscaping Technician Requirements & Qualifications: 

• Previous landscaping, lawn care, or grounds maintenance experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to safely operate commercial landscaping equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, humidity).
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, and perform physical labor throughout the day.
• Strong work ethic with reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work overtime and extended hours during peak season.
• Valid driver’s license preferred (may be required depending on assignment).

Landscaping Technician Responsibilities & Job Duties:

• Perform commercial lawn care, including mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing debris.
• Maintain commercial landscapes, including shrubs, hedges, trees, and garden beds.
• Install seasonal plants, flowers, mulch, and landscaping materials.
• Perform weed control and routine grounds cleanup across job sites.
• Operate commercial landscaping equipment, including zero-turn mowers, trimmers, edgers, hedge trimmers, and backpack blowers.
• Complete seasonal cleanup work, including leaf removal and debris clearing
• Assist with irrigation installation, repairs, and maintenance as needed.
• Load, unload, and transport landscaping equipment and materials.
• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides when certified and directed.
• Maintain clean, organized work trucks, tools, and job sites.
• Follow all safety procedures and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
