Welcome to the team

Congratulations on being selected to work at Geodis!

Staffmark and GEODIS have a strategic relationship, known as an Onsite Solutions Program. This relationship provides us the opportunity to work more closely with our employees on assignment, as well as with our customers. We are counting on you to represent us well! Remember that you are an employee of Staffmark and should comply with policies and procedures of both Staffmark and GEODIS.

It is important to remember that all personnel issues, questions and/or concerns must be discussed directly and promptly with your Staffmark Onsite Manager. We are here to support and assist you with anything you need.

How to Check-In

On the first day, you will check in with the Victoria Salamanca, Onsite Manager. You will not be able to get through the turnstiles on the first day, so please visit our Staffmark manager. You will be required to present your picture ID on the first day.

After checking in with Staffmark, the Training team will issue you a locker, which you will need to store all your belongings in the breakroom. You will then go through the metal detectors.

METAL DETECTORS are very sensitive to any metal on your body. No underwire bra, bobby pins, hooks, belts, etc., that would set off metal detectors. You will be sent home if you are unable to pass through the metal detector. Before your first assignment, please bring a medical note to Staffmark if you have metal implants or other medical devices in your body and require an accommodation.

Orientation will take place at our Staffmark office in Ontario.

Assignment Types & Growth Opportunities:
We offer both project-based and temp-to-hire assignments. Even if you start on a project, strong performance and work habits can lead to a temp-to-hire opportunity. Know what’s expected—understanding your job’s performance standards is key to success!

Shift Hours:

  • 1st shift | 6:00 AM – 8:00 AM
  • 2nd shift |2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
  • Flex A and Flex B| Weekdays: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM | Weekends: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Directions to Work Site:

Take the 15 North to the 210 east. Exit Alder and make a right. On Baseline Rd, make a left, Locust make a left, and the company is on the right-hand side. Drive to the back of the building and enter through the employee entrance.

Take 10 FWY East Exit Cedar make a Left, Baseline make a Left, Locust make a right, Company on Right hand side, Drive to the back of the building and enter through the employee entrance.

Take 10 FWY West Exit Cedar make a Right, Baseline make a Left, Locust make a right, Company on Right hand side, Drive to the back of the building and enter through the employee entrance.

Parking

A map of the parking lot will be sent over. Talent can park anywhere except visitor parking. If the parking lot security arm is down, talent must hit the intercom button and show their Staffmark badge to enter the lot. Once parked enter the building through Door 42.

Employee Policies

Time Clock + Pay

Time Clock Procedures
Your hours are tracked through an automated system using your assigned badge, which must always be worn.
  • Clock in/out every shift—missed punches may delay or impact your pay.
  • Only clock in within 7 minutes of your scheduled start time.
  • Never clock in/out for anyone else—doing so will result in termination.
  • Issues with your badge? See your Onsite Rep right away.

Accurate punches = accurate pay!

Contact your onsite manager to get information on Pay Rate.

Pay Schedule

If you use Direct Deposit or a pay card, your pay will typically be available by Friday, depending on your bank. If you choose mailed checks, delivery times may vary—we don’t control postal delays. For the fastest, most reliable pay, we recommend Direct Deposit or pay card.

Attendance & Shifts

Attendance Matters!

Reliable attendance is critical to your success and essential to meeting production goals at Staffmark and Geodis.

Policy Highlights
  • Your attendance is tracked daily. Excessive absences or tardiness may lead to disciplinary action.
  • You’re expected to work your full shift—tardiness affects the entire team.
  • Staffmark follows all state and federal leave laws (e.g., FMLA).
Call-Out Procedure

If you’ll be absent or late, text 909-403-4212 with:

Full Name  Department & Supervisor  Reason

  • Notice required: 24 hours in advance
  • Unexcused Absences/Tardiness (within 90 days):
  • 1st absence = warning
  • 2nd absence = termination
  • 1st tardy = warning

 

Excused absences include:

  • Jury duty, FMLA (if qualified), funerals (with documentation), or pre-approved time off.

Breaks/Lunch
Your break schedule will be established upon starting. These break times are subject to change.
Smoking Policy
Allowed only in designated outdoor areas.
See something unsafe? Speak up—your voice helps keep everyone safe!
Security & Personal Belongings:
  • To maintain a secure and efficient workplace, No cell phones, music players, or cameras are allowed in the facility.
  • Please refrain from bringing purses, coats, backpacks, snacks, or lunches into work areas.
  • Follow all Geodis security rules—unauthorized personnel and weapons are strictly prohibited.
  • Theft of any product, including damaged items, will result in immediate termination and may lead to prosecution.

Dress Code

Dress for Success & Safety! To maintain a safe and professional workplace, please adhere to our dress code.

What to wear:

  • Clean, appropriate clothing
  • T-shirts are acceptable, but avoid images or language that are offensive
  • Closed-toe shoes only—no sandals or mules
  • Choose comfortable shoes; you’ll be on your feet all day
  • Hats must face forward
  • Shorts must be knee-length

What to NOT wear:

  • No tube tops, halters, midriffs, or sagging/low-cut pants
  • Undergarments must not be visible
