Forklift Operator (1st Shift)
Location: Springfield, OH | Type: Full-time, temp-to-hire | Pay: $19.50 to $21.00 per hour

About the Role
Our client, a regional distribution center, needs Forklift Operators to load, unload, and move product safely across a busy warehouse. You will be part of a team that keeps orders moving on time.

Schedule
Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Overtime is available during peak season.

What You’ll Do

• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks to move, stack, and stage product
• Load and unload trucks and containers
• Scan inventory with a handheld device and keep records accurate
• Complete a daily equipment safety check and report any issues
• Keep aisles, docks, and work areas clean and clear

Required Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for a full shift
• Availability to work the 1st shift schedule above
• Ability to read and follow safety signage and instructions in English

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ months of forklift experience in a warehouse or distribution setting
• Current forklift certification (we will certify the right candidate if you do not have one)
• Experience with a warehouse management system or handheld scanners
• Reach truck or order picker experience
