Now hiring Boiler Operator | Direct Hire
Location: Long Prairie, MN
Pay Rate: $28.00+ per hour (based on experience)
Night Shift: 10:00 PM-6:00 AM | Monday – Friday | Requires 6-8 weeks of training on the day shift

What You Bring to the Boiler Room (Boiler Operator Requirements):
  • Valid 2nd Class Boiler License (or higher) required
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 2+ years of experience operating high-pressure boilers in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Strong understanding of boiler operations, safety procedures, and water chemistry
  • Ability to read, interpret, and document operational data and logs
  • Basic computer skills (data entry, reporting, documentation)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on overnight shifts
  • Strong attention to safety, detail, and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks, including standing, bending, and walking for extended periods
  • Experience in a food, pharmaceutical, or GMP-regulated environment preferred
What Happens Daily Inside the Boiler Room (Boiler Operator Job Duties):
  • Operate high-pressure steam boilers, including safe startups, shutdowns, and continuous monitoring.
  • Perform daily inspections, record readings, and maintain accurate operational logs and reports.
  • Conduct routine testing of water systems, including sampling, water quality checks, and chemical adjustments for water softeners.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and report boiler and support system issues to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and assist with repairs to maintain boiler system reliability.
  • Follow all GMP, safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements in a food production environment.
  • Communicate effectively with maintenance and operations teams to support smooth shift transitions.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in compliance with company standards.
  • Complete all required documentation and comply with operational procedures and regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations.
