Pay Rate: $42.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday

Control Technician Requirements: 

  • 5–10 years of industrial controls, instrumentation, electrical maintenance, or automation experience, or a minimum of 1 year of experience plus completion of a technical school program.
  • A college degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field is a plus.
  • Strong electrical, instrumentation, and industrial troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred).
  • Proficiency with pneumatic, hydraulic, and industrial control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, ladder logic, and technical drawings.
  • Experience performing instrument calibration and maintaining ISO 9000-compliant documentation.
  • Familiarity with CMMS software and smart instrumentation is preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, food processing, or other process industries preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE and following all workplace safety procedures.

Control Technician Job Duties:  

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial control systems, electrical equipment, instrumentation, and labeling systems.
  • Analyze, document, and test computer control systems and machine operating programs based on user specifications.
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems (Allen-Bradley experience preferred).
  • Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and instrument calibrations to maximize equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Manage the calibration program, including scheduling, documentation, and ISO 9000 compliance.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, ladder logic diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Maintain and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic control systems.
  • Utilize CMMS software to document maintenance activities and calibration records.
  • Provide technical support to production teams, including occasional weekend troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, quality standards, and preventive maintenance schedules.
