Now hiring Machine Operator
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $31.00 per hour (Based on role, shift, and experience)
Schedules:
1st Shift + 3rd Shift + Weekend Shift

Requirements: 

  • Knowledge of machine shop equipment and machining practices (hands-on experience is a plus).
  • Technical school training or on-the-job machining experience.
  • Inventory experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions closely.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.

Job Duties: 

  • Preparing and operating CNC machines to perform precise drilling, milling, and grinding tasks.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings to understand specifications.
  • Translating technical instructions into accurate computer commands for machine operation.
  • Loading raw materials and setting up machines for production.
  • Running test pieces to ensure all outputs meet quality and dimensional standards.
  • Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments as needed to maintain optimal results.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized workspace and following all safety and quality procedures.
  • Cut and prepare raw materials (bar stock) to required specifications using a saw.
  • Complete finishing work on metal parts by utilizing hand-held Dremels, grinders, etc. to smooth out any rough areas.
  • Receive and verify incoming materials against purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate inventory in the ERP system.
  • Perform cycle counts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Store and organize materials using proper labeling and tracking methods.
  • Loads fixtures and makes adjustments to processes as needed.
  • Utilizes a microscope to inspect parts and identify quality issues.
  • Refers to blueprints to ensure jobs are processed in accordance with specifications.
