Position: Japanese Bilingual Office Specialist – Logistics and Freight Operations

Location: Roswell, GA

FLSA: Non-Exempt, Full-time

Report to: Manager

Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm or 8:00am – 5:00pm (Occasional overtime until 6:00 pm – 6:30 pm primarily during month-end closing).

 

Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not are limited to:

You will handle import/export shipping and customs arrangements for various goods, including food, machinery parts, and medical materials.

  • Research and arrange the most appropriate shipping routes based on climate, weight, and nature of goods.
  • Obtain and prepare all necessary documentation for customs and insurance.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and negotiate with subcontractors to ensure competitive and profitable quotations.
  • Update Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) to maintain service quality.
  • Prepare to issue invoices based on agreed quotations.
  • Track shipping status and troubleshoot claims/irregular issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide accurate data to customs brokers for seamless clearance.

Qualifications

  • Highly motivated professional with a strong aptitude for the logistics industry.
  • Demonstrated commitment to long-term career growth, organizational stability, and professional development.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese (Business level).
  • Proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • 2–3 years of operational experience preferred; logistics background is a plus, but strong transferable skills and high potential are prioritized.
