Now Hiring Quality Associate
Location: San Diego, CA
Pay Rate: $23.00 – $35.00 per hour (based on experience)
2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

As a Quality Associate in San Diego, you’ll be the one making sure every piece coming off the line meets top standards. Your attention to detail keeps production running smoothly and customers coming back.

What It Takes to Inspect with Us

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience in quality control, performing visual and mechanical inspections
  • 3+ years of experience working with CMM or Visual Measurement Systems programming
  • AS13001 certification and AS9102 certification
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos in English
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings
  • Strong mathematical skills, including algebra, geometry, and calculation of discounts, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to use inspection equipment, tools, and gauges
  • Ability to read and interpret bar graphs and department metrics
  • Ability to lift to 35 pounds regularly, as well as stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards
  • Ability to adapt to changing tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area

Doing The Shift Right

  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of materials and products
  • Interact with customer portals to enter inspection data, retrieve specifications, and manage documentation (including FAIRs and related records)
  • Evaluate non-conforming materials and create Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMRs)
  • Determine disposition of non-conforming materials
  • Perform customer contract reviews to ensure compliance with requirements
  • Create certification packages for completed inspections and quality verification
  • Act as Customer Release Agent (DQR) for assigned customers
  • Train and certify operators according to established programs
  • Analyze quality-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Ensure compliance with company quality policies and applicable standards (ISO, AS, Nadcap, MS)
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean, Kaizen, and High-Performance Teams (HPT)
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Collaborate with team members to support production flow and quality objectives
  • Adapt to shifting production priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
