Now hiring Winding Associate
Location: Compton, CA
Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour
Shift: 7 AM – 3:30 PM

Here’s what we’re looking for.

  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Must be able to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of decimals and fractions).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience using basic measuring tools such as rulers, tape measures, scales, and calculators.
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, hoists, and portable welders (TIG/MIG, brazing, soldering) is an asset.
  • Familiarity with testing equipment preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive job assignments, materials, and wire from the Team Leader.
  • Verify that all required materials (e.g., wire, dogbone, Nomex, insulation) are correct and adequate for the assigned job.
  • Wind coils according to job specifications and drawings, ensuring all dimensions and tolerances are met.
  • Conduct ratio and turns tests as specified before removing coils from the arbor.
  • Ensure all completed coils meet drawing and specification requirements.
  • Obtain pre-approval from Manufacturing Engineering for any deviations from specifications.
  • Notify Quality Assurance (QA) of any quality issues using the proper forms and procedures.
